A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
EXTENSIONS OF INTERLOCAL AGREEMENTS WITH SALINE COUNTY,
U.S.D. 305, SALINA AIRPORT AUTHORITY, AND SALINA LIBRARY BOARD
RELATING TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION PLAN TAX
REBATE PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance Number 98-9859 and Resolution Number 98-
5253, the City of Salina executed interlocal agreements with Saline County, U.S.D. 305,
Salina Airport Authority, and Salina Library Board (the "Agreements") for
implementation of the Neighborhood Revitalization Program (the "Program"); and
WHEREAS, the paragraph 3 of each of the Agreements provides that it shall
expire March 31, 2003;
WHEREAS, in order to continue the Program while allowing for a thorough
analysis of any proposed modifications to the Program for implementation effective
January 1, 2004, the governing body has adopted Ordinance Number 03-10146 extending
the Program through December 31, 2003 and desires to enter into extensions of the
Agreements retroactively extending them through December 31, 2003.
SO, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the
City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. The Mayor is authorized to execute extensions of the Agreements,
retroactively extending them through December 31, 2003.
Section 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this 28th day of
July, 2003.
