ORDINANCE NUMBER 12-10637
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF A CERTAIN TRACT OF
LAND IN SALINE COUNTY, KANSAS IN CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A.
12-520(a)(2) and 12-520(b).
WHEREAS, the City of Salina has acquired channel change and flood control right-of-way for the
Smoky Hill River Channel north and south of the Magnolia Road bridge; portions of which have not become
part of the city, and the City wishes to annex the river channel and flood control right-of-way into the city;
and
WHEREAS, the abutting property owners in the county have consented to the annexation of the
roadway easement abutting their property on the north side of Magnolia Road and the west side of Markley
Road; and
WHEREAS, the legal description of the annexation has been reviewed by the City Surveyor and
found to accurately describe the roadway easements and channel change right-of-way the City of Salina is
proposing to annex. SO, NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the following described tract of land, to -wit:
Annexation Tract 41
A tract of land located in the Southeast Quarter of Section 30, Southwest Quarter of Section 29,
Southeast Quarter of Section 29, Northeast Quarter of Section 31, Northwest Quarter of Section
32, and the Northeast Quarter of Section 32, all in Township 14 South, Range 2 West of the 6`h
P.M. in Saline County, Kansas, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Southeast corner of the said Southeast Quarter of Section 30;
