ORDINANCE NUMBER 03-10141
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TRACT
OF LAND, IN SALINE COUNTY, KANSAS IN CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF
K.S.A. 12-519 TO 12-526, INCLUSIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the following described tract of land, to -wit:
A parcel of land located in the Northeast Quarter of Section 1, Township 15 South,
Range 3 West of the 6th Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, more particularly
described as follows:
Commencing at the Southeast corner of said Northeast Quarter; thence on an assumed
bearing of N 89°57'35" W along the South line of said Northeast Quarter a distance of
50.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING of the parcel to be described;
- thence continuing N 89°57'35" W along said South line a distance of 2517.53
feet to a point on the East right-of-way line of the Union Pacific Railroad;
- thence N 00°09'46" W along said West right-of-way line a distance of 2007.59
feet;
- thence N 90°00'00" E a distance of 698.41 feet;
- thence N 00100'00" E a distance of 103.00 feet;
- thence on a curve to the right with a radius of 173.08 feet, a chord length of
192.06 feet, a chord bearing of N 33°41'54" E, and an arc length of 203.60 feet;
- thence on curve to the left with a radius of 233.08 feet, a chord length of 258.63
feet, a chord bearing of N 33°41'02" E, and an are length of 274.17 feet to a
point on the South right-of-way line of Schilling Road;
- thence N 90°00'00" E along said South right-of-way line a distance of 1577.87
feet;
- thence S 03°27'41" E along said South right-of-way line a distance of 217.91
feet;
- thence S 00°24'33" W a distance of 2269.90 feet to the POINT OF
BEGINNING;
Said parcel contains 135.56 acres, more or less, and is subject to easements,
reservations, and restrictions of record.
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A. 12-519 to 12-526,
inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That the tract of land described in Section 1 above shall be zoned "A-1"
AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT upon annexation into the city.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption
and publication once in the official city newspaper.
