AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE AMENDMENT OF SECTION 36-902(12) OF
ZONING ORDINANCE 8526, THE SAME BEING CHAPTER 36 OF THE SALINA CODE, AND
REPEALING THE EXISTING SECTION.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 36-902(12) of the Salina Code is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 36-902(12). No sign shall be permitted to locate on
public property in any district and no sign shall be permitted
to project over public property, except as expressly authorized
on awning, canopy, marquee and wall signs in the "C-4", Central
Business District. Awning, canopy, marquee and wall signs
shall be permitted to project over public right-of-way provided
they are attached to legally non -conforming structures in any
other commercial or industrial district. These provisions
shall not apply to any property granted a setback variance
under the provisions of Section 36-1201 of the Salina Code."
Section 2. That the existing Section 36-902(12) of the Salina Code is
hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
