ORDINANCE NUMBER 88-9254
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE X OF CHAPTER 35 OF THE
��SALINA CODE BY ADDING SECTION 35-255 PROVIDING THAT SUCH ARTICLE
SHALL NOT APPLY TO SNOW OR ICE ACCUMULATIONS ON CITY SIDEWALKS
AS THE RESULT OF SNOW REMOVAL FROM CITY STREETS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That Article X of Chapter 35 of the Salina Code is hereby
amended by adding Section 35-255 which shall read as follows:
"Section 35-255. Exception; snow accumulations from
street snow removal.
The provisions of this article requiring removal of
snow and ice from sidewalks, by the owner, occupant or
person in charge of any lot, tract, or piece of land abutting
on any sidewalk, shall not apply to any snow or ice
accumulated on the sidewalk as the result of the city's
efforts in removing snow from city streets."
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
