AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS SHALL ESTABLISH,
BY RESOLUTION, SUCH LICENSE FEES, PERMIT FEES AND OTHER USER TYPE FEES OR CHARGES
AS WILL ADEQUATELY COMPENSATE THE CITY FOR ITS SERVICES RENDERED: PROVIDING FOR
AN ANNUAL REVIEW OF THE SAME BY THE CITY MANAGER; AND REPEALING ALL EXISTING
FEES IN CONFLICT WITH THOSE ESTABLISHED PURSUANT TO THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the Board of Commissioners shall determine, by
resolution, all license fees, permit fees and other user related fees or charges
established by the ordinances of the City of Salina, Kansas. All fees and
charges shall be in such amounts as will adequately reimburse the City for the
services rendered by it in connection therewith.
Section 2. All existing license fees, permit fees and other user
related fees or charges as set forth in Salina Code Sections:
are hereby repealed and the license fees, permit fees and other user related
fees or charges established by the Resolution herein authorized are substituted
in lieu thereof.
Section 3. The City Manager shall annually review all license fees,
permit fees and other user related fees or charges so as to insure that the fees
charged adequately reimburse the City for the services rendered by it. In order
to assure an equitable adjustment, the City Manager is authorized and directed
to increase or decrease such license fees, permit fees and other user related
fees or charges in approximately the same proportion to any increase or decrease
in the General Fund for the ensuing fiscal year.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption and publication in the official city newspaper, but no
earlier than January 1, 1982.
