Your request to construct a single family residence in the Holmquist
Estates Subdivision, that would be located approximately 400 Ft. landward
of the centerline of our Flood Protection Levee, has been denied by the
Corps of Engineers. Their letter to our office, dated May 7, 1984, in-
dicated the walkout basement design as proposed would jeopardize the
integrity of our flood protection system.
If your client wishes to submit a redesigned house plan for approval,
please contact me. We believe they would approve a house without a base-
ment in this area.
