According to their letter, dated August 14, 1985, the Corps of
Engineers have no objection of the construction of the storage building
(42' x 180') as proposed (Levee Station 518+60) (Section IV of the
Salina Flood Protection Project). We also have reviewed your proposed
construction and have determined your project would not be detrimental
to the integrity of our flood protection system.
We, therefore, grant you a permit to excavate the foundation holes
for the building columns, provided all voids around the columns are
filled with concrete.
Contact the Permit & Inspection Department, Room 205, City -County
Building, 300 West Ash for the necessary building permits, etc. If you
have any questions concerning this excavation permit, please contact me.
