Dear Sir:
In response to your request for water flow test data on several fire
hydrants in the Schilling Industrial Area, we submit the following infor-
mation:
(a) Hydrant No. 13, located on an 8" main on Jumper Road
between Scanlan Avenue and Centennial Road, was tested.
The static pressure was 42 p.s.i. The pitot pressure
was 30 p.s.i. (2-1/2" outlet) and the residual pressure
was 40 p.s.i.
(b) Hydrant No. 39, located on a 6" main on Centennial Road
between Schilling Road and Summers Road was tested. The
static pressure was 44 p.s.i. The pitot pressure was
34 p.s.i. (2-1/2" outlet) and the residual pressure was
40 p.s.i.
(c) Hydrant No. 76, located on an 8" main on Scanlan Avenue
between Sutherland Road and General Jim Road was tested.
The static pressure was 43 p.s.i. The pitot pressure
was 35 p.s.i. (2-1/2" outlet) and the residual pressure
was 41 p.s.i.
All tests were conducted on August 31, 1978, by the Salina Water
