In accordance with our telephone conversation today regarding the
possibility of the City of Salina installing signs on the north side of
Ash Street between Third Street and the Union Pacific Railroad to control
parking, I checked with our Traffic Engineer concerning the procedure to
accomplish this revision. He stated that you would need to submit a
letter to the City Commission requesting the parking revision. Your re-
quest should state the revisions desired, such as time limits (1 hr.
parking signs, etc.) and specify the location of the signing revisions
("North side of Ash Street from 3rd Street west to the Union Pacific
Railroad"). Also state the reason for your request.

Don Bassett, our Traffic Engineer.
