E. ASST. CITY ENGINEER D. W. BASSETT TRAFFIC ENGINEER Your proposal to request, at a later date, the vacation of the temporary drainage easement on the South 2/3 of Lot 2, Block 1, Lundberg Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas would be received favorably by our department. A stormwater detention facility could be constructed on the remaining North 1/3 said Lot 2 to serve the entire Lundberg Addition. If you decide to proceed with this vacation request, we will assist you to achieve your goal. DH:mp Sincerely, Don mott, F.L. MEMBER ... KANSAS LEAGUE OF MUNICIPALITIES - NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES Salina, KS 27 March 1985 City of Salina :Department of Engineering ,Attention: Don Hoff 300 West Ash Salina, Kansas 67401 Dear Don: Please refer to the Lundberg Addition plan at Cloud & Ohio here in Salina. You will note that.all of Block 2 has a temporary easement on it because it was designated as a water run-off storage area for the commercial development of Block 1. A church is interested in purchasing approximately the South 2/3' of Block 2 for a church site. We submit for your consideration a change in the water run-off storage system. Approximately 2 acreas in the North end of Block 2 would be used as a storage area for both the church and the commercial development of Block 1. The use -a combined storage area would eliminate the need for two separate storage areas. We believe this is a good practice. We realize an agreement between the owners involved outlining respon- sibilities for the storage area would be required by your office. The capacity of the storage area would be determined as development proceeds. We would like to arrange a meeting at your earliest convenience to 6btain your opinions regardnng t#is project. Then we can continue to proceed with this development. Yours t ly, 4'-6 V. F. L dberg 710 Sou h Fifth St. Salina, KS 67401 Phone 827-1218 or 827-1566 E CE#VE_ MAR 27 1985 PLANNING DEPT.
