Due to the installation of sanitary sewers this fall in Country
Hills Addition No. 2, it is now possible for the Heather Ridge Apartment
to connect to the City sewer mains by gravity flow. Being aware of the
continuous and expensive problems you have had with your sewage lift
station, we wanted you to know that you now have an alternate means of
service. You may now desire to make a gravity connection to the City
sewers and eliminate the lift station altogether. This would seem to
be the wise choice in the long run.
If you want to construct a gravity line, it will take approximately
850 feet of sewer line at an estimated cost of. approximately $8,300.00.
The.proper method to initiate this would be for you to sign a petition,
as representative of the owner, requesting the installation. This
method would probably take until the end of March to complete. If you
would deposit the amount of the above estimated cost with the City Clerk,
we could eliminate some legal steps and save about two months time.
The City would adjust your cost to the actual cost of construction when
the project was completed and return any excess funds or bill you for
the remainder, if the deposit was insufficient.
