In response to your inquiry regarding city policy concerning the disposal
of surplus excavated material from public street improvement projects, we
offer the following comments:
(1) The City of Salina has the first priority to all excavated
material from public streets. All excavated material not
utilized in the street improvement project is declared
surplus material.
(2) The property owners adjacent to the streets in the improve-
ment project have the first priority to any of the above
described surplus excavated material.
It is impossible for us to guarantee at this time that there will be any
surplus excavated material available to the adjacent property owners as a
result of future street improvement projects in Mayfair Addition. No
construction plans have been finalized.
