RE: Iron Street Bridge
Downtown Salina
Dear Mr Anderson:
I have received numerous comments from Salina tax payers
concerning the Iron Street Bridge located in Downtown
Salina.
It is my understanding that several weeks after acceptance
of the bridge from the KDOT, compacted material started to
settle, and has continued to settle.
Don Hoff of the City Engineering Office has informed me
that he will be checking the elevations of the. box culvert
and the street on June 8, 1987.
I appreciate the fine work done by the KDOT in the past
and feel confident that you can continue to work with the
City Engineering Department in a responsible and cooperative
manner to assure that the tax payers of Salina will not
incure unexpected expense on this project.
