We have reviewed your request to construct a driveway approach on
Elm Street and on Second Street that exceeds the City of Salina's
Code regarding maximum driveway approach width.
Your plan to modify several existing driveway approaches on Elm
Street by combining the approaches into a single approach would
allow improved accessibility to your dock and large overhead doors.
We believe this plan has considerable merit and we, hereby, approve
this plan.
The plan to widen an existing 12' driveway approach on Second
Street to 42' would certainly improve your access to the refueling
pumps. We would also approve this plan provided you furnish and
install the necessary signs, etc. to prohibit the use of this 42'
driveway approach (area between the curb and sidewalk) as a parking
area.
