We have completed the field investigations and preliminary design
necessary to determine the options available to permit your residence
(965 Marymount Road) to be connected to a public sanitary sewer.
The southern terminus of the public sanitary sewer on Marymount Road
is located approximately 325 ft. north of Robert Miller's driveway and
is approximately 11 ft, deep. This pipeline could be only extended
south along the west side of Marymount Road to Mr. Miller's driveway,
due to the topography and the amount of earth cover required over the
pipeline.
Until the area to the south of your property is developed and a pump
station is constructed to serve this entire area, it appears only two
options are available at this time if you desire to connect to a
public sanitary sewer.
Due to the drainage course on the east and north sides of your property,
the construction of a sanitary sewer service line from your house to
either the Marymount Road sewer or to the sewer in Fairdale Road near
Bob Pace's house would require you to install a private sewage pumping
unit. The flowline elevation of this drainage course would not allow
the construction of a normal gravity sanitary sewer service.
These small private pumping units are available locally and are manufac-
tured as packaged units containing a storage container and pump.
