In response to a request by D.V.; Inc., we submit the
following information pertaining to the further development
of Mayfair Addition to the City of Salina:
DH:MKP
(a) The City of Salina now requires that all
proposed storm drainage systems conform
with the general requirements outlined in
the "South Salina Drainage Study" by Wilson
& Co. (1978).
(b) The overall drainage plans submitted by
D.V., Inc., as prepared by his Consulting
Engineer (Elmer Zerr, P.E.), are in general
accordance with the above Wilson & Co. study.
(c) We have required that all major drainage and
channel improvements be constructed prior to
or concurrently with all proposed street work
in Mayfair Addition. It is our understanding
that D.V., Inc. has awarded a contract to do
a portion of the above channel improvements
and the contractor has commenced construction.

We have examined the condition of the outlet structure at
the terminus of a 60" storm sewer pipe located near the south-
east corner of Lot Six (6), Block Nine (9), Shalimar Plaza
Addition. This structure will be replaced as soon as detailed
plans are prepared and a construction contract finalized.
It is anticipated construction work will commence this
summer, but no completion date can be guaranteed at this date.

We have completed our preliminary inspection of the sanitary sewer
(811 V.C.P.) installed in Block Seven (7), Mayfair Addition to the City
of Salina by the Umscheid Trenching Co. This section of sewer pipeline
appears to be in conformance with the City of Salina's minimum construc-
tion standards and therefore, sanitary sewer house connections may be
installed at any time.
A detailed final inspection will be made by our office at a later
date to determine acceptance of maintenance responsibilities by the
City of Salina.
