smoky hill mason lodge 1964LEASE AGREEMENT
This lease agreement, made and entered into this 2 day of
y, 19649 by and,between THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, a munici-
corporation, hereinafter referred to as the"Lessor", and SMOKY
ALLEY MASONIC LODGE of Salina, Kansas, hereinafter referred to as
he "Lessee", WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS the Lessor is the owner of building located at 220 W.
wford, Salina, Kansas; and, is willing to lease said building
such times`as 'it `is not required for city purposes; and,
WHEREAS the Lessee desires to use said building for its meet-
ings; and,
NOW THEREFORE in consideration of the rents, covenants and
ents herein set forth to be paid, kept and performed by the
Lessee, the Lessor hereby,grants to the Lessee, the non-exclusive
use of the building located ,at 220 W. Crawford, Salina, Kansas, fo
a term of one (1) year, beginning on January 1, 1964, and terminat-
ing on December 31, 1964, upon the terms and conditions hereinafte
set forth, to -wit:
1. Lessee agrees to pay Lessor as rent for the use of said
building the sum of $ 10.00 per month which sha.
be payable monthly in advance on or before the first.day of each
an`d every month during the term of this lease.
2 Lessor reserves the right to use the building at any and
all times a's'may be necessary for city purposes. In the event sai,
premises are needed for city purposes, Lessee agrees to remove any
and/or all of its property as requested by Lessor.
3. Lessor reserves the right to lease said building to
organizations for their use provided that the said use does not
interfere with the regular or scheduled meetings of said Lessee.
4. Lessee agrees to make no changes or alterations in the
premises without the written consent of the Lessor. The Lessee
may, at their own expense and after securing approval of the Les-
sor, redecorate or make repairs to said premises.
S. Lessee agrees to be responsible and to reimburse Lessor
-for all damages to the leased premises caused by its negligence
or that of its employees, guests, invitees or licensees.

6. Lessee agrees that Lessor shall not be liable for �;�•;
loss, damage, injury or other casualty, of whatever kind or by
homever'caused, to any..person or property of anyone arising out
f or resulting from the Lessee's use and possession of the above
emises and the Lessee hereby agrees.to defend, indemnify and hold
ssor harmless from and against all claims, demands and suits for
ch loss, damage, injury or other casualty. (Even if any such
laim, demand or suit is groundless, false or fraudulent.)

7. LessorAreserves the right to terminate this lease at any
ime upon the giving of thirty (30) days written notice to the Les -
es.
S. Lessor agrees to pay for all utilities used on the pre -

by the City Clerk and has caused its seal to be hereto affixed and
the Lessee has subscribed its name, all in the City of Salina, Kan-
