RE: County/City Distinctive Plate Form Revision
Regard is made to memorandum TR -87-6, dated December 8, 1987, relative
to reporting registration of vehicles with County/City Distinctive Plates.
In said memorandum, indication was that City/County Offices would
complete the report-, however, indication on the form, itself (TR -30), was
that the County Treasurer would complete the report. City/County Offices

Enclosed, please find a revised supply of form TR -30. The supply

County Treasurers Motor Vehicle Inventory Tax Stamp Report
Regard is made to County Treasurers' Motor Vehicle Inventory Tax Stamp
Report denoting fourth quarter sales through December 31, 1987.
Please be advised, due to time limitations placed on the Title and
Registration Bureau to prepare a composite state Inventory Tax Stamp
Report, it is imperative that each county submit their individual report of
same to this office on or before January 7, 1988.
County/City Distinctive License Plate Yearly Report
Effective January 1, 1988, the County/City will begin entering on the
enclosed County/City Distinctive License Plate report form current
distinctive, license plates issued to each county and city vehicle. Said
report shall be completed and returned to the Division of Vehicles, Titles
and Registrations Bureau, on or before January 20th of the subsequent year,
beginning with calendar year 1989.
As a reminder, beginning January 1, 1988, county and city vehicles
currently registered as political taxing sub -division will be requried to
transfer to the county and city registration, with the exception of
counties and cities that wish to retain the political taxing subdivision
registration for certain vehicles used by law enforcement agencies.
The license plate will consist of a $7.00 one time fee, be a permanent
registration with no year of expiration and cannot be transferred to
another vehicle. Further, since registered gross weight has no
relationship with fee assessment for registration purposes, no registration
gross weight decal sticker will be issued for trucks.

License Plate report form, TR -30. Please
offices within your county are provided with
reporting use.
