ORDINANCE NUMBER 10-10557
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE IV, DIVISION 3 OF THE
SALINA CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 2-76 TO INCORPORATE THE KANSAS
TORT CLAIMS ACT AND REPEALING SECTIONS 2-77 THROUGH 2-81.
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the Governing Body, by ordinance, amend Chapter 2,
Article IV, Division 3 of the Salina Code by amending Section 2-76 to incorporate the Kansas Tort
Claims Act, and repeal Sections 2-77 through 2-81; SO NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 2-76 of the Salina Code is amended as follows:
"DIVISION 3. CLAIMS AGAINST OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES
Sec. 2-76. Kansas Tort Claims Act. The provisions of the Kansas Tort Claims Act, and
amendments thereto, shall govern claims against an employee of the City as the term
"employee" is defined by the Kansas Tort Claims Act, and amendments thereto."
Section 2. Repealer. Sections 2-77 through 2-81 of the Salina Code are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption
and publication once in the official city newspaper.
