Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That is shall be unlawful for any person to keep open or cause to be kept open within the limits of the City of Salina any billiard hall, pool room bowling alley or other place where any billiard table, pool table, or other gaming table or device is kept for play on the first day of the week, commonly called Sunday, or between the hours of 10'/2 o'clock, P.M. and 6 o'clock A.M., nor permit any games to be played therein between the said hours of 10'/2 o'clock P.M. and nor upon Sunday. Section 2. That it shall be unlawful for the keeper, proprietor or person in charge of any of the places maintained in Section One of this ordinance to permit any person under the age of 18 ;years to play at or take any part in any game in any of such places or loiter or remain in them. Section 3. That is shall be unlawful for any person under the age of 18 years to play at or take part in any game in any of the places maintained in Section 1 of this ordinance. Section 4. That it shall be unlawful for the room keeper or person in charge of any of the places mentioned in Section 1 of this Ordinance to place or keep or cause to be placed or kept at or before the doors or other devices to herunder apparent person on the outside thereof from seeing through such windows or doors, who and what is on the inside of such rooms or places. Section 5. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not less than $5.00 and not more than $50.00. Section 6. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication once in the Saline County Journal. Approved May 17, 1886
