Ordinance No. 462
An ordinance amending section 2 of Ordinance No. 201 entitled "An ordinance
relating to certain misdemeanors and prescribing the punishment therefore."
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the city of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 201 entitled "An Ordinance relating to
certain misdemeanors and prescribing the punishment therefore" be amended so as to read
as follows: The Mayor is hereby authorized by and with the consent of the council to appoint
one or more Special Policemen to serve in the city of Salina, to be covered by the ordinances
now in force regulating the appointment and service of policemen, except that said
policemen shall draw no pay from the city of Salina, but shall be entitled to fees in cases
where arrests are made as provided by law.
Section 2. That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 201 of which this ordinance is amendatory
be and the same is hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance take effect and be in force from and after its publication
in the Saline County Journal.
