Ordinance No. 456
An ordinance making a levy of taxes for general revenue and other purposes in the
city of Salina, Kansas.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina, Kansas.
Section 1. That the sum of ten mills on the dollar be and the same is hereby levied on
all real, mixed and personal property in the city for general revenue purposes.
Section 2. That the sum of five mills on the dollar be and the same is herby levied on
all real, mixed and personal property in the city for the purpose of opening and improving
streets, avenues and alleys, and for building bridges, culverts, sewers and cross walks across
streets.
Section 3. That the sum of one mill on the dollar be and the same is hereby levied on
all real mixed and personal property in the city for the purpose of providing a sinking fund
to redeem outstanding city bonds at maturity.
Section 4. That the sum of one mill on the dollar be and the same is herby levied on all
real mixed and personal property in the city for the purpose of paying interest on the
outstanding bonds of the city.
Section 5. That the levy made by the Board of Education of the city of Salina School
District for general revenue and to pay interest on the bonds of the said Board be and the
same is hereby approved.
Section 6. That this ordinance take effect and be in force from and after its publication
in the Saline County Journal.
