officer,and the further condition that he will not become interested yy�,
• pecuniarily in any contract for :publ.ic improvement in the, city of
Salina.

It shall . ba the duty of the city -engineer when directed by
:the city concil or, a cormittee thereof to maIke an estimate of the cost
af .all bridges, sidewalks- and all -work 'on the streets and all other
work and improvements to be done by,,' contract in the. city of Salina
