An Ordinance Concerning the Purchase and Appraisemerit of
The Salina Waterworks.
Be it Ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of The City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1.

That The City of Salina hereby decides and deter -
ter Works,and all extensions thereof,together with al -1
buildings,ma.chinery and property of every description be-
longing,or _appertaining ther.eto,by paying ther-efur: to the
owner, or owners, thereof, the value of said property,to be
ascertained by appraisement,as provided by section eight
of Ordinance No.372. of The City of Salina, entitled"An Or-
dinance to provide a system of Waterworks and a supply Of
water to The City of Salina,and theinhabitants thereof."
Section 2. That the owner,or owners,of the said Salina Water-
works be,and they are,hereby required within thirty days
from the•publication of this ordinance,to appoint an ap-
praiser to act in conjtlnction with the appraiser hereto-
fore appointed by The City of Sa:lina,to appraise the prop
Arty mentioned in section one(I)of this ordinance,in ac-
cordance with the provisions of section eight(8)of said
Ordinance--
Section•3. The owners of said Waterworks shall c.au'se the ap-
praiser to be appointed tinder section No -2 of this or•di-
nance,within ten- days after hi.s appointrnent,to meet with
the apprai-ser appointed by the said city,at the Office of
the city clerk of tale said city,and said two appraiser.$
shall without delay,select a third appraiser to act with -
them in rnak ing an appraisement of said property mentioned
in Section One(U f this Ordinance, in accordance with the
provisions of Ordinances No.372 and No. .0 of th,i-s
City.
Section 4. That the city clerk of The City of Salina,be and he
is hereby required to deliver a certified copy of this
ordinance to the owner,or owners,of said Waterworks,or to
the person in charge thereof,within three days aft-er the
taking effect of this Ordinance.
Section -5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be iykz"' +
force from and after its publication once in The Salina
