An Ordinance Providing for theA Construction of Sewers.in the City of
Salina, Kansas.
Be it -ordained by .the Mayor and Councilmen of the City-lof Salina:
Section 1. That the Mayor and Council of the City of Salina,
Kansas, are hereby authorized and empowered to extend and construct or
cause to be extended and constructed the lateral sewer on south Eighth
r� street, in said city, from its present terminus on sauth Eighth street,
in the center of Mulberrystreet, east'to the center of the alley between
vve#th street and Eighth street, and south in the center of said alley
to the center of South street, a distance of seven hundred forty-fivev4':
('145) feet, in the manner and form and of the material specified and re- .
quired in the plans and specifications of the city engineer andI the pro-
posal of the Salina Plumbing Company, now on file with the city clerk of
said city.
Sec. 2. That the Mayor and Council are hereby authorized and ems
powered to contract for the extension and construction of said sewer with
tie Salina Plumbing Co., of Salina, Kansas, according to and for the price
or prices named in the proposal of said company now on file with the city
clerk of Salina, Kansas.
Sec. 3. That the Mayor and Council of the City of Salina, Kansas,
• are hereby authorized and,.empowered to construct or cause to be.c,onstructed
a drainage sewer on east Prescott avenue, in said city, beginning at the
corner- of- Fourth street and

of way of the Salina & Southwestern Railvray, east to the Smoky Hill River,
a distance of eight hundred forty (840) feet, in the manner and form and of
the material specified and required in the plans and specifications of the

Sec. 4. That the Mayor and Council are hereby authorized and em-
powered to contract for the construction of said drainage sewer with the

Sec. 5. That the city attorney of said city be instructed to
prepare a contract or contracts for the and construction of
