An ordinance making a levy of taxes for the year 1900.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:
Section 1. That the sum of
mills on the dollar be and the same is hereby levied on all the real
estate and personal property in the city of Salina, Kansas, for the year
A. D. 1900, for the following purposes, to -wit:
For general revenue, the sum of
niills on the dollar.
For opening and improving.streets, avenues and alleys, and for
buliding bridges, culverts and crossings, the sum of
mills on the dollar. f
For paying interest on the following bonds of said city, to -crit:
►-- $16,000.00 bonds issued January lst, 1886; $;x,000.00 bonds issued
I� January 1st, 1888;16,000.00 bonds issued July st, 1888; X20,000.00
bonds issued November 22nd, 1889; $27,000.00 bonds issued January 1st,
1898, and $44,000.00 bonds issued July 1st, 1899,

Sec. 2. That the sum of r- +G of a mill on
the dollar be and the same is hereby levied on all real estate in the
city of Salina, Kansas, for the year A. D. 1900, for the purpose of pay-
ing interest on sewer bonds issued by said city:
Sec. 3. That the sum of one mill on the dollar be and the same is �
heti levied on all real estate in.the city of Salina, Kansas, for the
year Ao �. 19W, for .the purpose of creating a sinking fund to redeem
certain seer 'bonds issued by said city July lst, 1890.
Sec. 4. That the sum of one mill on the dollar be and the same is
hereby levied on all property in the city of Salina, Kansas, for the
year A. 1900, for the support of a free public library.

Sec. 5. That the levy of `may% mills on the

Salina, Kansas, for the year A:• D. 1900, be .and the same is hereby app-
proved.
Sec. 6.' That the city clerk is hereby instructed tQ certif"'the
levies herein provided to the county clerk of Saline county, Kansas, to
be placed upon the tax.rolls for collection as provided by law.
Sec. 7. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its publication once in the Salina Daily Republican4Journal.
