1653 Sidewalk Improvements Riverside Park(Published in the Salina Evening Journal -May ORDINANCE No.1653. An Ordinance providing for the construction of certain sidewalk in the city of Salina, Kansas. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the city of Salina: Section 1. That the owner or owners of any and all real estate abutting on the east side of Lots Two (2); Four (4) and Six * in Block Three (3) Riverside Park Addition;'west side of Lots One (1), :Three'(3), Five t5), Seven -(7) and Nine (9), Block Three (3) River- - side Park Addition; south 'side of Lots TAn (10) and Eleven (11) in Block Seven (7), Calkins Addition; west side of Lots One (1),.Two (2), Thxee (3), Four (4), Five (5), Six (6), Seven (7), Eight (8), Nine lag ( 9), Ten (io) in Block alkine.Addition; south side of Lots Twenty-three (23) and Twenty-four (24) on Noxth street between Twelfth and Thirteenth streets, Wellington's Addition; east side of Lots Two (2), Four (4)1,"Six (6)9 Eight (8)," Ten (10) and Twelve (12)0 Block Six'(6), North Park Addition; east side of Fifth street from Bond street south to connect with the present walk on said side of said street; south side of Lots Eight (8), Ten (10.), Twelve (12)9 Fourteen (14), Sixteen (10),,Eighteen (18), Twenty (20) and Twenty- three (23) on Minneapolis avenue in the grounds of the Kansas Wesley- an University .Addition; on the south side of Kirwin avenue from the east side .of Santa Fe avenue to the west side of Osborne street; on the east end of Lots Eighteen (18), Nineteen (19) and Twenty (20) in- Blo•cg _Sev_en (7) , Oakdale Addition; 'and on the west side of Ninth street between Grand.avenue and Pacific avenue, in the city of Salina, Kansas, aro hereby required to construct or cause to be con- structed on or before the. 20th day of June, 1912, a sidewalk in front of and adjacent to all the lots or parts of lots above de- scribed, .said sidewalk to be constructed of the material, width and in the manner specified and required by the provisions of Ordinance No.1038,-of the printed ordinances of the city of Salina, which said ordinance No.1038 is hereby incorporated in and made a part of this ordinance. Sec. 2. That the committee on sidewalks of the city council shall, as soon as practicable after the said 20th day of June, 1912, cause such sidewalk as described in Section 1 hereof to be constructed as herein provided where such owner or owners fail, neglect -'or refuse to build the same, as provided nerein, and shall report their proceed- ings, together with the length and dimensions of the walk so con- structed by said committee and the actual expense thereof to the city council. Sec. 3. The expense of constructing said walk by said committee shall be assessed against the real estate abutting thereon according to the front foot thereof, and collected as other taxes againtt such real estate. Sec. 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication once in the Salina Evening Journal. Passed and approved May 20th,1912, a r N
