for theyear 1909+« The following proposition with the terms aua
conditions hereii specified, to -wit:
shall the said City of Salina,
Kansas, issue to the said The Salina, T ipton & Northern Railroad
Compaay, forty of the bonds of said City of the denomination of Five
Hundred :0#500) Dollars eaeh, said Bonds to be payable to be"*** at the
office of the Treasurer of the State of Kansas in the City of Topeka,
Kansas, Thirty Mears after the date thereof bearing interest at the
rate of four and one-half per vent per annum, interest payable soul
annually for which interest coupons shall be attached payable at the
office of the Treasurer of the State of Kansas, at the said City of
Topeka, in the State of Minsas.
Said Bonds aforesaid to be issued upon the following
conditions, namely.
That when the said :railroad shall be built and.. oonstruoted
and 3.n operation { by lease or R therwise } from the City of Osborne`
in Osborne County, Kansas, to„point at or near the 'fest end of
Elim street in the C ty of Salina, Kansas, and a suitable Depot built
and constructed on line of said ?railroad at some convenient point
in and within the said City of Sal ina,Bansas , an& suitable side tracks
and switching facilities built and constructed. therein.
Then the ivayor and Council of the said City of Salina,
.Kansas, shall cause such bonds with coupons attached as aforesai&
to be issued in the name of said ^ity of Salina, Kansas, and. shall
deliver the same to said Railroad, Conpany. xrovi.ded, .sai.d. Railroad
shall be.built and complete& and in operation ( by lease or otherwise)
