use as a driveway for that portion of said ten -foot alley lying between

Now, therefore, ,
Be it ordained by the Myor and Councilmen of the City of Salina.
Section 1.. That The Kansas Ice & Storage Company shall deed to the
City of Salina the following.described real estate, to be used for an
alley and driveway, to wit; Commencing at the southeast corner of Lot
No. fifty-six (56) on Fourth street, running thence north ten (10) Peet,
thence west seventy (70) featt, thence north forty (40) feet, thence
west twenty (20) Peet, thence south fifty (50) feet, thence east ninety
(go) Peet to the place of beginning, and such piece of ground thus des-
cribed is hereby acquired for and dedicated to the uses and purposes;of
a public alley and driveway.
Sect W zi. in consideration of the provisions of Section One
hereof, it is hereby ordained that the east seventy (70) feet of the
twenty -foot alley running east and west between Fourth and Fifth streets
and lying Immediately north of the north line of Lot Ko. 56 on Fourth
stree*., in -.the city of Salina, is hereby vacated, set aside and discon-
tinued as a public alley and driveway, and that such ground so vacated
shall revert to and become part of Lot No. 54 on Fourth street as
the same was originally laid out and platted.
SeCUm 3.. And for the same consideration, that part of the ten -
foot alley between Santa Fe %venue and Fifth street running north and
south between a point on the center line of Lot No.. fifty-three (53 )
on Santa Fe Avenue and Lot NO. fifty-four (54) on Fifth streets and the
north line of the twenty -foot alley running between Santa Pe avenue and
Fifth Street as heretofore established by ordinance leo. 117$; of the City
of Salina, be and the same is hereby vacated, annulled and discontinue&.
as an alley and driveway..
Seciiirre 4. That the said the Kansas ice and Storage Company shall.
pay to the City of Salina the cost and expense of recording the deed -
mentioned in Section .,,;hereof,, and for Un recording ! this Ordinance
in the offj.ce of the Register of Deeds of Saline County, Kansas.
SecUmb-5, This Ordinan6e shall take effect and be in force from
and after its publication once in the Salina Evening Journal..
