1625 Improve College Avenue(Published in the Salina Evening Journal -1 1911) ORDINANCE N0. /6�� An ordinance lettiw the contract for the curbirim and guttering of Col- lege avenue between the south line of Ash street and the south line of Walnut street. Be it ordaaned by the Mayor and Councilmen of the city of Salina: Section 1. That a contract be and is hereby let to for the curbing and guttering of College avenue in the city of Salina between the south side of Ash street and the south line of Walnut street at and for the uniform price of,� �- G cents per lineal foot for the lineal feet of curbing, and guttering actually built and put in place on said street and as computed and meas- ured eas ured by the city engineer of said city, which such price herein agreed to be paid for the improvement aforesaid is less than the estimated. cost of such work and improvement as made by the city engineer and now on file with the city clerk. Sec. S. That such curbing and guttering shall be built and on�- structed in accordance with the specifications therefor prepare y the city engineee, which are hereby specially referred to and made a part of this ordinsa ce and the contna6t hereby let and awarded. Sec. 3. The city attorney is hereby instructed to prepare a con- tract with the said' �r and the said city for the work and improvement herein provided for, and such contracTAall execute to the city of Salina a good and. sufficient bond, in such sum as the mayor and council shall determine and as providedin the specifications afore- said, for the faithful performance of said contract and for the mainten- ante of such curb and gutter for the period of one year, and shall also execute to the State of Yansbond in the amount of the contract hereby awarded conditioned that such contractors will save and hold harmless the city of Salina from all claimsk liens or charges of material men, laborers andaoth6r working on such improvement, as provided by the statutes of the State of uansas.
