,in ordinance making a levy of fazes for revenue and other pun -
poses in the city of Salina, Kansas* for the year 1911.
Be it ordained bytz the Mayor and Counclimen of the City of Salina: --
Section i. That the sum t of five'(5) mills on. the dollar be
and. the same is hereby levied on all real, mined and personal property
in the city of Salina, Kansas, for the year 1911, for the following
purposes, and apportioned and divided as follows, via:
Por general revenue, two (2) mills on the dollar.
FoZ- opaning and improving streets and alleys, building bridges,,
culverts and crossing, one (1) mill on the dollar. a
For a sinking fund, seven -tenths (TAO) mill on the dollar.
For paying interest on outstanding bonds, four -tenths (4AOU mill
on the dollar.410 `
'For the support of free public library, twootenths (2/`10) mill on
the dollar.
For paying the anw al installments of and interest on bonds issued
during the gears 1906, 1907,31908; 1909, 1910 and 1911to pay for the

and the same in hereby levied on all real estate iu the city of Salina,
Kansas, f or i the year 1911, for the purpose of paying the annual install-
ments of &i d ' interest on outstanding; sewer bonds issued on the dates of

Soo. 3. The valuation of the property capon which the foregoing
taxes are levied and assessed is, in all cases, taken from the assessment
'rolls of the present year in the county clork•s office of Saline county,
Kansas; and it ehall be the duty of the city clerk, idiately upon
the passage and publication of this ordinance, to transmit a duly cera
tfgied copy of the saw to the count; .clerk of Saline county, Kansas,
to be placed upon the tag rolls to be collected according to law.
Sec. 4. This ordinance shall take effedt and be in force from
and after its publication once in the Salina Evening Journal.
