1599 Sidewalk ImprovementsAn Ordinance providing for the construction of certain sidewalk in
the city of'Salina, Kansas.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the city of Salina:
Section 1. That the owner or owners of any and all real estate
abu.ttiPg_on the -
eForth side of Wilson Street from Santa Fe Avenue to Highland
Avenue, and on the North side of Bond Street from Santa Fe
Avenue to Ninth Street;vand the West side of Kansas Avenue
from Iron Avenue South to the North edge of the riLier bed;
Or'* the -West side of Baker Street from South Street to Cedar
Street; The North side of Ash Street from Columbia Avenue to
Des Moines Avenue, thence north on the west side of Des Moines
Avenue from Ash Street to Elm Street.
No. 1038, of the printed ordinances of the city of Salina,.which said
ordinance No. 1038 is hereby incorporated in and made a part of this
ordinance.
Sec '2. That the committee on sidewalks of, the. city council shall,
as soon as practicable after the said jo may of % � �—
cause such sidewalk as described in Section One hereof to be constructed
as herein provided where such owner or owners fail, neglect or refuse to
build the same, as provided herein, and shall report their proceedings,
together with the length and dimensions of the walk so constructed by
said committee and the actual expense thereof to the city council.
Secy 3. The expense of constructing said walk by said committee
shall be'assessed against the real estate abutting thereon according to
the front foot thereof, and collected as other taxes against such real
estate.
Sec f 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its publication once in
