An Ordinance --providing for the construction of certain sidewalk in
the city of Salina
Beit ordained y the Mayor and Councilmen of the city of Salina:
Section 1. That the owner or owners of
Tots ten(16) and :Pleven (ll) on Lincoln Avenue,in Block 2,Calkin's Adji- -
tion,and Lots 31 and 32 on i-ilson Street,in Bloc: %Bond's Addition,
_.hots 23 and 24 on Front Strect,;Or{,-final PI -at-;- the property on the North
side of Joluist-mzz Avenue from the ten-rinus of the present cement V1alk
east to 'Penn Avenuc,t'lence, on t -he east side of Penn Avenue froin JohnstoVm
Avenue to Iron Avenue,

in the city of Salina, Kansas, are hereby required to constru t or cause
to be constructed on or before the day of. 19�
a sidewalk infront �and aderit tom all t he lots or parts of lots
above described,^said sidewalk to be constructed of the material, width
and.in the manner specified and required by the provisions of Ordinance
No. 1038, of the printed ordinances of the city of -Salina-, which said
1 ordinance No. 1038 is hereby incorporated in and made a part of this
ordinance.
Sec.2. That the s idevralk adjacent to Tot. T"o.133 ort Third Street,
--� final-T'Iat, on the Walnut Street side t_dereof,,ba and all of such side -
,walk is hereby declared worthless and unfit for the purpose of a sidevrtll�,
and that the same be removed and rebuilt. as provided by this ordinance.
Sect*�W. That the committee on sidewalks of the city counc•1 shall,
as soon as practicable after the said day of lg��
cause such sidewalk as described in SectionSOne�hereof to be constructed
as herein provided where such owner or owners fail, neglect or refuse to
build the same, as provided herein, and shall report their proceedings,
together with the length and dimensions of the walk so constructed by
said committee and the actual expense thereof to the city council.

. The expense of constructing said walk by said committee
shall -be asuessed against the real estate abutting thereon according to
the front foot there of., and collected as other taxes against such reale
estate.
