1567 General Revenue Taxes(Published in the Salina Evening Journal August LL, 1910)
ORDINANCE N0.
An ordinance making,a levy of taxes for general revenue and other pur-
poses in the city of Salina, Kansas, for the year 1910.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:—
Section 1. That the sum of - /7/7�een
mills on the dollar be and the same is hereby levied on all real, mixed
and personal property in the city of Salina, Kansas, for the year 1410,
for the following purposes and apportioned and divided as follows, viz:
For general revenue two.(2) mills on the dollar.
For opening and improving streets and alleys, building bridges, cil-
verts and crossings, one (1.) mill on the dollar.
For a sinking fund gj�K - 0) mills on the dollar.
For paying interest on outstanding bonds
mills on

dollar.
For
the
support
.of a free public library -tenths (7,/10) mill on
the dollar.
For paying the annual installments of bonds issued during the years
14061 1907, 1908, 1909 and 1910 to pay for the paving and improving of
the squares and areas of streets, five -tenths (5/x.0) mills on the dollar.
Sec. 2. That - mills on
the dollar be and the same is hereby levied on all real estate in the
city of Salina, for the year 1910, for the purpose of paying the annual
installments of principal and interest on outstanding sewer bonds issued
on the dates of February 1, 1901, July 2, 1902, January 2, 1905, January
1,190?, July 1, 1408/ / / D /
See. The valuation of the property upon. which .thee foregoing
taxes are levied and assessed is, in all cases, taken..irom the assessment
rolls .of the present year in the county clerk's office of -Salina county:
Kansas; and it shall be the duty of the city clerk, immediately upon the
passage and publication of this ordinance, to transmit a duly certified
copy of the same to the county clerk of Saline county, Kansas, to be
placed upon the tax rods , to' be collected according to law.
Sec. 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its publication once in the'Salina Evening Journal.
