An ordinance establishing grades on Santa Fe avenue between Crawford
street and Claflin avenue; ops Ash etret between Ninth street and
College.avenuet and on Tenth street between South street and Bishop
street in the city of Salina, Kansas.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina: --
Section 1. That a grade be and is hereby established on Santa Fe
avenue, commencing at the intersection of Santa Fe avenue and Crawford
street sixteen and fiveotenths (16.5) feet south of the north line of
Crawford street at an elevation of one hundred four and fiveotenths
(104.5) feet; thence south by a uniform grade to Bond street to an ele•
vation of one hundred seven (107) feet; thence.south by a uniform grade
to Milson street to an elevation of one hundred seven and eight tenths
(107.8) feet; thence south by a uniform grade to Republic avenue to an
elevation of one hundred nine and four -tenths (109.4) feet; thence south
by a uniform grade to Beloit avenue to an elevation of one hundred ten
and four -tenths (110.4) feet; thence south by a uniform grade to Minne-
apolis avenue to an elevation of one hundred eleven and fourotenths
(111.40 feet; thence south by a uniform grade to Ellsworth avenue to an
elevation of one hundred eleven (111) feet; thence south by a uniform
grade to Jewell avenue to an elevation of one hundred ten and eizotenthe
(110.6) feet; thence south byba unf dorm Fade to Kirwin ,avenue to an.
elevation of one hundred ten and twootenths (110.2) feet; thence south
by a uniform grade to Claflin avenue to an elevation of one hundred nine
and eightotenthe (109.8) feetj the last mentioned point being twenty-
five (25) feet south of the north Dine of Claflin avenue.
See. 2. That a grade be and is hereby established on Ash street
as follows: Com ening at the intersection of Ash and Ninth streets at
axe elevation of one hundred one (101.) feet;, thence by a uniform tirade to
Tenth street to an elevation of one hundred one and eight tenths (101.8)
feet; thence by a uniform grade to Eleventh street to an elevation of
one hundred and eight -tenths (100.8) feet; thence by a uniform grade to
Twelfth street to an elevation of one hundred one and eight -tenths
(101.8); thence by a uniform grade to Thirteenth street to an elevation
of one hundred -one and twowtenths (101.2) feet; thence by a uniform grade
to Phillips street to an elevation of one hundred one and twowtenthe
(101.2) feet; thence by a unif orrisgrade to College avenge to an elevation
of one hundred one and two-tenths (101.2) feet.
Sec. 3. That a grade be and is hereby established on Tenth street,
as follows: Coning at the intersection of Tenth and South streets
at arm elevation of one hundred three and five -tenths (103.5) feet;' thence
by a uniform grade north seven hundred (700) feet to an elevation of one
hundred four and eight tenths (104.8) Feet; thence by a uniform grade to
Walnut street to an elevation of one hundred three and six -tenths (1.03.6)
feet; thence by a uniform grade to Iron avenue to an elevation of one
hundred two and seven -tenths (102.7) feet; thence by a uniform grade to
._ State street to an elevation of one hundred two and four -tenths (102.4)
feet; thence by a uniform grade to Ash street to an elevation of one
hundred one and eight—tenths (101.8) feet; thence by a uniform grade to
Park street to an elevation of one hundred one and thresestenths (101.3).

Sec. 4. All elevations mentimied in this ordinance are referred to
the city bench mark,, as established by ordinance, and to the profiles on
file in the city engineer's office.
Sec. 5. This ordinance shall -take effect and be in force from and
after its publication once in the Salina Evening Journal.
