ORDINANCE NO. O
An ordinance letting the contract for,the curbing and guttering of cer.
Iain streets in the city of Salina.
Whereas, under the provisions of Ordinance No. 1540 and Ordinance
No. 1543, the mayor and council decided to pave, curb and gutter the
streets and parts of streets in such ordinances described; and,
Whereas, proposals for doing such curbing and gutterin og said
streets have been filed with the city clerk and such proposals have been
exam ned by the said mayor and council, and the proposal of
is hereby found and determined to be the lowest and most satisfactory
proposal for such curbing and guttering, and that the coat of such curb-
ing and guttering under such proposal does not exceed the estimate of the
cost of suc.'q curbing and guttering as heretofore made by the city a n'
gineer of said city and now on file with the city clerk; therefore,

Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:--
ection 1. That a contract be and is hereby let to C.
for the curbing and guttering of the following streets and parts of
streets in the city of Salina, Kas., toowit: Ash street between the gest
side of Seventh street and the west side of College avenue and Tenth
street:between the south side of -Walnut s-treet-and the north -side of
South street, with cement curbing and guttering, as specified and de-
scribed in the plans and specific ations of the city engineer now on g
file with the city clerk,

cents per lineal foot for the lineal
feet of curbing and guttering actually laid., constructed and put in place
on said streets, as computed and measured by the city engineer, such
prices being the prices given and specified in the proposal of the said
which are hereby approved and

Sec. 2. That such curbing and guttering shall be done in accord-
ance with the plans and specifications therefor prepared by the city
engineer, and such plans and specifications are hereby approved and
accepted and are made a part of this ordinance and of the contract hereby
awarded.
Sec. 3. The city attorney is hereby directed to prepare a contract
with the said Z % ---� for the work and improvement herein
Provided for, in accordance with the city engineer's said plans and s
specifications and said Ordinances numbered 1540.and 1543, and that the
mayor and city-il®rk execute said contract on behalf of said city.
Sec. 4. This ordinance shall take effect and Win force from and
after its publication once in the Salina Ivening Journal.
