1545 Award Improve Ash Street(Published in the Salina Evening Journal Mar , I910.) ORDINANCE NO.,I� An ordinance specifying the material to to used and lett* the contract for the paving and eucavatin , of certain streets in the citaf`Sal y ina, Kansas. Whereas,, under the provisions of Ordinance No. 1540 and Ordinance No. 1543, the mayor and council decided and determined to pave, excavate, curb and gutter the streets and parts of streets in such ordinances named and described, toowit: Ash street between Seventh street and College avenue and Tenth street between Walnut street and South street; and, Whereas, proposals for paving such streets and parts of streets with different kinds of street paving and for the curbing and guttering of such streets with cement curb and gutter have been filed with the city clerk, and such proposals have been examined by�the mayor and council and the proposal o� d°,�' ® of , is hereby found and determined to be the most satisfac- tory and responsible proposal for the kind and character of street paving hereinafter designated and selected by the said mayor and council,, and the cost of such paving and excavating, for the kind and character of the paving so selected, , under such proposal of the aai does not exceed the estimate of the cost of such paving j`'excavating, rw �= as heretofore made by the city engineer of said city and noiq on fila with the city clerk; and, Whereas, the laid mayor and council hereby determine that the streets hereinafter described and which are to be paved under this and said Or- dinances numbered 1540 and 1543 shall be paved with �m on a concrete foundation fige (5) inches in thickness, and such pavement is hereby selected as and for the pavement for said Ash street and Tenth street; therefore, Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councii men of the city of Salina:"" Section 1.
