1538 Fire Department(Published in the Salina Evening Journal February' Z:V.' 1910) ORDINANCE N0. LZ� An ordinance amending section sig of ordinance No. 140, being an ordi. nance entitled an ordinance relating to the fire department of the city of Salina, the prevention of fires, providing penalties for violations hereof, and repealing Ordinances numbered2810 559 and 842, passed and approved April 19, 1909; and repealing such section so amended. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the city of Salina: -- Section 1. That section sig (6) of Ordinance No. 1480, being an ordinance entitled "an ordinance relating to the fire department of the city of Salina, the prevention of fires, providing penalties for viola• tions hereof, and repealing ordinances numbered 281, 559 and 842," passed and approved April 19, 1909, be amended and is hereby amended to read as follows, shm to -wit: "Sec. 6. The fire chief shall receive as full compensation for all of his duties and services as such a salary of twelve hundred ($1200) dollars per annum; and the other members of said fire department shall be paid the following salaries., to -wit: Firemen of the first class, each,per arm=, $724.00; firemen of the second class, each, per annum $540.0.0; all to be paid monthly as other bills against said city are presented and paid." Sec. 2. That original section six (6) of Ordinance No. 1480 be and the same is hereby repealed. Sec. 3. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication once in the Salina Evening Journal. Passed and approved February 21, 1910. t Attest: er .
