HBe it ordained by the Mayor and -Councilmen of the City of
Salina: -
Section I. It is hereby declared necessary to condemn and
appropriate for public use, for the purpose of opening and extending:
Fifth street in .the City of Salina, north from its present terminus
on Crawford Ave/to connect and intersect with .Prescott Avee"44raAr4

following described pieces of land situate in the City of Salina,
ftbi =.Qa =*% Kansas, to -wit: Commencing at a point feet due
east of the southeast corner of lot 22,.'P Prescottls Addition to the
City of Salina *running thence
due north about 1098* feet to .the south line of Prescott Avfeet.
thence south from said last named point about I0981g- feet to the north
line of Crawford Aver,tihence west from sa&d last named point along
the --line of -Crawford: AV-ee; bit toy -the place¢of beginnings
being a piece of ground by I0981 feet in size.
Sec :24 The Mayor,by and with the consent -of the Council,
shall appoint three disinterested householders as appraisers, who
shall qualify and proceed as required by law to give notices and
assess the damages caused by condemlat ion and appropr iat ion of said
lands for said street, and said appraisers or householders shall re`-
port to the payor and Council their proceedings in all things as
provided by law, and shall, upon completion of their Twort;
file the same with the City Clerk.
Sec. 3. That Ordinance No . 1493, pas sed and approved June 21,
1909, be and the same is hereby repealed.
