ORDINANCE NO./ 7"c,
An ordinance apportioning and levying a special tax or assessment to
pay the cost of repairing and constructing certain sideivalks
in the city of Salina, Kansas.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the city of Salina: --
Section 1. That there be and is hereby levied and assessed against
each of the lots and parts of lots hereinafter described a special tax,
for the purpose of paying the cost of repairing and constructing certain
sidewalks.abutting said property by the city of Salina, between the
20th day of August, 1907, and the 17th day of August, 1908, in the
various sums set opposite tri.e following described lots and pieces of
ground, to -wit:

Sec. 2. That the city clerk be and he is hereby authorized and
directed to certify the assessments made in sedtion 1 of this ordinance
to the county clerk of Saline county, i ansas, to be placed upon the
tax roll for collection, subject to the same penalties and collected in
like manner as'other taxes.
Sec. 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its publication once in the Salina Evening Journal.
