1429 Improve Fifth Street(Publ i shed in the Salina Evening Journal July 4L2 ., 1908 ) ORDINANCE NO.� Ah ordinance amending section 1 of Ordinance No. 1408, being an ordinance entitled "an ordinance providing for the paving, curbing and exca- vating of Fifth street, in the city of!Salina Kansas, between the north side of Walnut street and the north aide of Elm street, ex- cepting the square and area formed by the crossing of said Fifth street with Iron avenue; specifying the manner of construction, and providing for the cost thereof and the manner of payment;" passed and approved March 30, 1908, and repealing such original section so amended. Be it ordainedby the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina: -- Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1408, passed and approved March 30, 1908, being an ordinance entitled "an ordinance pro- viding for the paving, curbing and excavating of Fifth street, in the city of Salina, Kansas, between the north side of Walnut street and the north side of Elm street, excepting the square and area formed by the crossing of said Fifth street with Iron avenue; specifying the manner of construct- ion, and providing for the cost thereof and the manner pf payment," be amended *a so as to read as follows: •"Section J.L That it is necessary and hereby ordered that Fifth street, in the city of Salina, between the north side of Walnut street and the north side of Elm street, excepting the square and area formed by the crossing and intersection of said Fifth street with Iron avenue, be paved, with such material as the mayor and council may designate, to -wit: brick blocks, as here inaf'ter provided, forty-seven (47) feet - in width, —_ 'rff_ car .lass; . mr..
