ORDINANCE No. l wog-_
An Ordinance providing for the construction of certain sidewalk in
the city of Salina, Kansas.
Be it ordained by the Mayor•and Councilmen of the city of Salina:
Section 1. That the owner or owners of any and all real estate
_abutting on the North sae of Tincoln 4venue from Santa Fe Avenue to
Seventh Street,thence on the Fast side of Seventh Street from Lincolnto
Dacate-r Avenue.; also on the 197est side of Penn Avenue from Es Stre=et t.o
in the city of Salina, Kansas, are hereby required to construct or cause
to be constructed on or before the-20t1i. day of ---.-AD ril------- -- 190_8_
a sidewalk in front of and adjacent to all the lots.or parts of lots.
above described, said sidewalk to be constructed of the material, width
and in the manner specified and required by the provisions of Ordinance
No. 1038, of the printed ordinances of the city of Salina, which said
ordinance No. 1038 is hereby incorporated in and made a part of this
ordinance.
SecVkmp 2. That the committee on sidewalks of the city council shall,
as soon as practicable after the said -20th. -day of--Ap-r-il - --

cause such sidewalk as described in Section One hereof to be constructed
as herein provided where such owner or owners fail, neglect or refuse to
build the same, as provided herein, and shall report their proceedings,
together with the length and dimensions of the walk so constructed by
said committee and the actual expense thereof.to the city council.
Sec14M 3. The expense of constructing said walk by said committee
shall be assessed against the real estate abutting thereon according to
the front foot thereof,• and collected as other taxes against such real
-estate
Secy 4. This ordinance sail take effect and be in force from
and after its publication once in the_ Salina Evening Journal.
