ORDINANCE NO ./Y® 3
An ordinance relating to the licensing of certain occupations, callings
and business.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the city of Salina; --
Section 1. No person, persons, company or corporation shall carry
on or engage in any of the following named or described occupations,
callings or business, in the city of Salina, Kansas, without first hav-
charp
ing obtained a license therefor from the city and paying the ziand for
such license, which shall be as follows, to -writ:
1. Places of amusement or exhibition known and 'described as
"Penny Arcade," , thirty-
five ($35.00) dollars per year.
2. Places of exhibition or amusement commonly known and described
as "Nickleodeon, " fifty
($50.00) dollars per annum.
3. Summer theatrea or places of amusement commonly known as
"Airdome" theatre, fiftfp($50.0 ) dollars per annum.
4. Skating rinks, fifty ($50.00) dollars per annum.
Sec. 2. Licenses under this ordinance shall be issued by the city
clerk, under the seal of the city, and signed by the mayor and clerk,
but no license shall be issed uhtil the applicant therefor shall produce
and file with the city clerk the receipt --of the city treasurer showing
the payment of the amount required by this ordinance to be paid.
Sec. 3. All licenses under this ordinance shall be issued for one
year, shall be non -assignable and non-transferrable and shall expire on
the last day of June or the last day of December ne# after the same
are issued.
Sec. 4. Any person, persons, company or corporation violating
any of the provisions of this ordinance shall upon conviction be fined
in any sutra not exceeding one hundred dollars.
See. 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
any after its publication once in the official city paper.
