ORDINANCE NO.�
An ordinance granting to the person therein named the right to lay a
drain of water pipe in certain streets and alleys
in the city of Salina, Kansas.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:
Section 1. That John L. Bishop, his successors or ad'signs, shall
have the gight, subject to the,cpnditions and -restrictions hereinafter
set forth,, to lay a drain or water pipe, not exceeding$ eight inches in
diameter, from a point on the east side of Fifth street and at the south--
west corner of the building known as the Kansas Ice & Storage plant, in the
city of Salina, Kansas, southwest across Fifth street to the east end of
the alley running; east and west between Santa Fe avenue and Fifth street,
thence west on said alley to the alley running north and south between
said Fifth street and Santa Fe avenue, thence south down said last named
alley to a point east of Lot 75 on Santa Fe avenue. c
Sec. 2. That said pipe or drain shall be laid at such lxxgkk depth"
below the surface of the ground and at such locations in said street ander
alleys and follow such course as shall be designated by the city engineer*
Sec. 3. The excavation caused by the laying of said pipe or drain
shall be re --filled at the cost of said John L. Bishop, and the street and
alleys upon which such work is done shall be, when completed, left in
as good condition as they now are, and to the satisfaction of the said
city engineers
Sec. 4. The rights.and privileges herore�gulations'now
' granted shall. be and
remain_ subject to all reasonable rules and existing
or hereafter enacted by the mayor and council of said city.
.Sec. 5. This ordinance shall take effeft and be in force .from and
after its publication once in the MaJ# official city paper, and -said
grantee shall pay for the publication of this ordinance.
