ORDINANCE NO. AFAr
An ordinance making . levy of taxes for eneral revenue and other pur-
poses in the -city of Salina, F xiSao for the year 1907.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the city of Salina: --
Section 1.' That the sum of�_ z mills
on the dollar be, .and the same is hereby, levied on all real, mixed and
personal property in the.city of Salina, Kansas,.for the year 1907, for
the following purposes, and apportioned and divided as follows, viz:
For general revenue, ten (10) mills nn the dollar.
For opening and improving streets and alleys, building bridges,
culverts and crossings, five (5) mills.on the dollar.
For a sinkipg fund ( ) mills on the.dollar.
For paying the interest on outstanding bonds, four'(4) mills on
the dollar.
For the support of a free public library, one (1) mill on the
dollar.
Sec, 2. That the sum of one (1) mill on the: dollar be, and the
same is -hereby, -levied on all real,,mixed and.personal property in the
city of Salina, for the year,1907, for the purpose of paying the annual
installments of bonds issued during the years 1906 and 1907 to pay for -
the paving and improvement of.squares and areas.
Sec. 3. That the sum of -�- _ mills on the dol -
'lar be, and the same is hereby, levied on all real estate ih the city of
Salina, Kansas, for the year 1907, for the purpose of paying for a cer-
tain sewer constructed under the provisions of Ordinance No. !L ;
and the annual installments of principal and interest on outstanding
sewer bonds issued on the dates of February 1, 1901; July I, 1902; Jan-
uary 2, 1905 and January 1, 1907'.
Sec. 4. The.valuation of the property upon which the foregoing
taxes are levied and assessed is, in all ca.ses,'taken from the assess-
ment rolls o-"-"-
e pr4sent year in the county=clerk!;office of Saline
. county, Kansas.; and -it shall be the .duty of the city clerk, immediately
upon the passage and publication of this ordinance, to transmit a.duly
certified copy of` the . same to the county clerk of Saline county, Kansas,
to be placed upon the tag rolls to be collected according to.law.
Sec. 5.' : This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after.its publicatony*once in the Salina Evening Journal.
