An ordinance providing for the construction of certain side-
walks in the city of Salina, Kansas.
Be it ordained by the mayor and Councilmen of the city of Salina:
Section 1. That the owner or owners of the following
described lots and tracts of land in the city of Salina, Kan-
sas, be and they are hereby required to construct or cause to
be constructed on or before the 10th day of October, 1918, a
sidewalk in front of and adjacent to such tracts of land as
follows:

Sec. 2. That all of the above mentioned sidewalks shall
be constructed of the material, and in the width and manner spe-
cified and required by the provisions of Ordinance No. 1038,
1971, 1974 of the city of Salina, Kansas, which said ordinances
are hereby incorporated in and made a part of this ordinance.
Sec. 3 . The committee on sidewalks of the City Council
shall as soon as practicable after the 10th day of October,
1918, cause any sidewalk herein mentioned to be constructed
if the owner or owners liable for such construction shall fail,
neglect or refuse to so construct the same within the time
herein provided, and shall report their proceedings, together
with actual expenses thereof, to the City Council.
Sec. 4. Expenses of construction of said sidewalks by
said committee, in event that they construct the same shall
be assessed against the real estate abutting thereon according
to the front foot thereof and collected as other taxes against
said real estate are collected.
Sec. 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force and effect from and after its publication once in
the official City paper.
