2231 Extend Riverside Drive11 1 1 L 1 ORDINANCE NO. 2231. (Published in the Salina Daily Union December 1918 An ordinance relating to the extension of Riverside Park Drive in the city of Salina, Kansas. WHEREAS, by the terms of Ordinance No. 1995 passed and approved October 16th, 1916, certain lots and pieces of ground were condemned and appropriated for the purpose of extending and widening Riverside Pa rk'Drive in said City and among which was that part described as "All that part of Redserve No. 3 lying North and East of a line commencing at the northeast corner of Lot 3, .Block 5, Riverside Park Addition; thence west 65 feet; thence in a northwesterly direction to a point on the west line of said Reserve 265 feet north of Elm Street, all in Riverside Park Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas," and WHEREAS, the appraisers report made therein covered all "That portion of Reserve No. 3, in, said Riverside Park Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas, described as follows, to -wit: com- mencing on the north boundary line of Lot 3, Block 5, Riverside Park Addition to Salina, Kansas, at a point 65 feet west from the northeast corner of said 'Lot 3; thence running in a straight line to a point on the west .boundary line of said Reserve No. 3 which lies 300 feet north of the southwest corner of Lot 1, Block 5, River side Park Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas; thence running north to the northwest corner of said Reserve No. 3; thence in a southeasterly direction along the northeastern bound- ary line of said Reserve No. 3 to the southeast corner of said Reserve; thence west along the south line of said Reserve to the point of beginning," and, WHEREAS, the last of such described tracts of land was that actually appropriated and condemned by said City, and it was not the purpose of intent t@ appropriated and condemn any other or different land, and in order to cure any and all irregularities that may e3dist, thb former owner of said tract, and the owner at the time of the condemnation, is willing to execute and deliver a deed to said City, conveying to it said first above described tracL of land, upon condition that the said City will disclaim and re- linquish all right, title and interest in any other or additional part of said Reserve No. 3 in Riverside Park Addition to the city of Salina, Kansas, Now, Therefore Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the city of Salina, Kansas: '254 Section 1. That the City Clerk of said City is hereby authorized and -directed to receive and accept for said Uity from P. L. Gebhart a good and sufficient deed conveying to said City "All of that part of Reserve No3 lying North and East of a line commencing at the northeast corner of Lot 3, Block 5, Riverside Park Addition; thence west 65 feet; thence in a northwesterly direction to a point on the west line of said Reserve 300 feet north of Elm Street." Section 2. The City of Salina, Kansas, does hereby re- linquish`and disclaim any and all right, title, interest or estate in or to any other or different part of portion of Reserve No. 3 in Riverside Park'Addition to the city of Sa- lina, Kansas. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its publication once in the offi- cial City paper. Passed and approved December 16th, 1918. (SEAL) Attest: Chas. Z.
