An ordinance relating to auction stands, and providing a license
fee for the operation thereof in the city of Salina, Kan-
sas,
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:
Section 1. That it shall be unlawful for any person, firm
or corporation to maintain, operate or conduct within the City of
Salina, Kansas, any auction stand without first having obtained a
license so to do, and paying the fee therefor as hereinafter set
forth.
Sec'. 2. The fee for such license shall be the sum of Three
Hundred ($300.00) Dollars, per annum, payable in advance and depos-
ited with the written application; licenses issued under this ord-
Inance shall expire on the last day of June or December next after
the issuance of the same.
Sec. 3. Application for such license shall be made in writing
and filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Salina,
and shall set forth the name of the applicant, the firm namd or
style under which such business is to be conducted, and the location
or place within said City where such business is to be conducted.
-Sec. 4. All licenses issued under this ordinance shall be
signed by the Mayor and Clerk of said City and countersigned by
the Treasurer,thereof, and shall in no event be assigned or trans-
ferred.
Sec. 5. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the
terms of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and
upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not less than Twenty -Five
25.00) Dollars Zior more than One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars for
each offense.
Sec. 6. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Sec. 7. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
from and after its publication once in the official City paper.
