An ordinance -making a -levy of taxes for - general' -revenue and
other purposes in the City of Salina, Kansas, for the
year 1918.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina;
Section 1. That the sum of Five and One -tenths (.0051')
mills on the dollar be and the same is hereby levied on all real,
personal and mixed property of whatsoever kind or nature, within
the city of Salina, Kansas_, for the year 1918, for the purposes
hereinafter set forth and apportioned and divided as follows:
For General Revenue,, Two and Eight -Tenths ( .0028) mills
on the dollar.
For a Sinking Fund.- four -tenths of a mill ( .0004) on the
dollar.

Sec. 2. That two mills on the dollar (,002) be and the
same is hereby levied on all real estate in the City of Salina,
Kansas, for the year 1918 for the purpose of paying the annual
onstal lments of and the interest on the outstanding Sewer Bonds,
of the City issued on• the __dates of July 1st, 1908;_,January • 1st,
1909;- March lst, 1910; July 1st, 1909; September lat, 1911; April
1st, 1913; June 16t, 1914; December 1st, 1914; April 1st, 1915;
-June 1st, 1916 ; January 1st, 1917; February 1st,, 1918 and May
1st, 1918.
Sec, 3. The valuation of the property upon which the fore-
going taxes are levied and assessed, is in all cases taken from
the assessment rolls of the present year in the office of the .County
Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, and it shall be the duty of the
City Clerk immediately after the passage of this ordinance, and
before the 25th day bf August, 1918, to transmit a duly certified
copy of the same to the County Clerk of Saline County, I'ansas,
so that the levy may be, placed on the tax roll and the taxes col-
lected according to law.
Sec. 4. This ordinance- shall take effect and be in --full
force from and after its publication once in the Salina 1?aily
Union.
